INTRODUCTION
SLCAL.ca is hosted and provided by and for senior Registered Liberals of the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC). It is not sanctioned, sponsored, promoted or directly influenced by the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC). It is for the use of senior Registered Liberals of LPC for discussion and information. Participation as a member of this community is a privilege provided by the Senior Liberals' Commission of the LPC.

Forums and other online tools are provided on SLCAL.ca to promote collaboration and positive, respectful discussion between its members. Broad participation that leads to positive outcomes for the LPC, its members and supporters is encouraged.

All content posted on SLCAL.ca and stored as data in its database(s) is not indexed by internet-based search engines, is not accessible to or viewed by the general public.

AGREEMENT CONDITIONS
If you find any of the conditions provided in this Registration Agreement not acceptable to you, it is suggested that you do not register for an account on SLCAL.ca at this time. If you choose to accept the conditions provided you will be expected to abide by them to the best of your ability at all times.

As a member of SLCAL.ca you agree that you will not:

1) Broadcast, share or disseminate content from this website with any person who is not a Registered Liberal with the LPC.

2) Knowingly post any material or information that is false, libellous, defamatory or inaccurate.

3) Post or share any information with anyone with the intent to embarrass the LPC or one of its members, or destabilize this community.

4) Post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.

5) Post any spam, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or solicitations on any forum boards or by private messaging individual or groups of members.

6) Post any material or information that is abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or Canadian Federal law.


MODERATORS and ADMINISTRATORS
As a member of this community, you understand and accept that all information or material posted is subject to moderation. Administrators and Global Moderators are volunteers who monitor all activity in this community on a regular basis. They are responsible for ensuring the Agreement conditions noted above are adhered to by all members. Moderators assigned to specific Forum Boards or discussion topic threads contained in them have the same authority in those Forum Boards and topic threads.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY
No information posted within this community is endorsed by the LPC, this website or any of its Moderators and Administrators. As a member, you are the author of information you post and take full responsibility for the accuracy and validity (or lack thereof) of that information. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless SLCAL.ca, its administrators and moderators.

While this community is intended for discussion within and amongst Registered Liberals of the LPC, Administrators assume no responsibility for ensuring nothing is shared beyond it.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Administrators and Global Moderators are responsible for identifying, handling and resolving conflicts and grievances whenever and wherever they occur site-wide.

Administrators and Moderators take no responsibility for confirming the validity, accuracy, completeness or usefulness of content posted by any member of this community.

REPORTING OBJECTIONABLE POSTS
If you find it necessary to inform a Moderator or Administrator of abusive or wrongly posted information in any forum board, you may do so by clicking the “Report to Moderator” link provided in the bottom-right corner of every post and providing a brief note about the issue being reported. A Moderator or Administrator will be notified and contact you privately to discuss the matter further within a short period of time.

RIGHTS RESERVED
Administrators reserve the right to take or not take any action that may be required for the good of the SLCAL community. Members are welcome to privately voice their opinions regarding actions taken or not taken, but the decision of an Administrator is final.

Administrators and Moderators have no interest in censoring any content posted by members of this community. However, they do reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine removal is necessary.

Objectionable content would be anything that falls within Agreement Conditions 2 to 6 posted above. Removal of material is a manual process and may not occur quickly in some cases as some pre-consultation between parties involved may be required beforehand.

Administrators reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected by this website) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of these forums.

Administrators reserve the right to change membership privileges for any member at any time as one of the steps in resolving a reported conflict or contravention of the Agreement Conditions posted above. A membership privilege change could include a change in assigned permissions, banning, disabling or removal of a user account from the system.

REGISTRATION
Please provide accurate information when you fill out the Registration form. Accurate information helps administrators process your application quickly. Inaccurate information makes the task more difficult. Providing really inaccurate information intentionally will, very likely, result in the application being deleted from the system.

We ask that you register with your REAL NAME - not a nick-name - exactly as it would have been given to the LPC for Registered Liberal status or other supporter documentation. Registrations with a nick-name MAY be removed from the system. We HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft, and that you record it somewhere safe (your little black book) so you can find it when you need it.

ACCOUNT ACTIVATION
After registering, your account profile will be reviewed by a volunteer administrator. Provided your LPC Registered Liberal status is verified as active, your account profile will remain active. If verification shows otherwise, your account profile will be removed from the system and SLCAL membership list.

After logging in for the first time, you are encouraged to complete your profile by clicking "Profile" from the main menu bar. You agree that the information you provide will be accurate and regularly updated. You also agree that any information deemed vulgar or unacceptable by an administrator or Moderator will be removed, with or without notice, and your user account may be removed from the system.

ACCOUNT SECURITY
You agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for security reasons.

IMPERSONATION
You agree never to post any information using another person's account. Doing so is considered misuse of someone else’s identity and good reason for having your personal user account removed from the system.  

COLLECTION and USE of INFORMATION
The information you submit at the time of registration, and add to your account Profile, is collected and stored on a database on a server own and maintained by a third party host service provider. You are assured that SLCAL administrators do not share, sell to any third party, or use the information provided for any purpose other than to maintain the information system available to and used by all members of this community.

Please note that with each post you author, your IP address (a unique identifier issued by your internet service provider) is recorded - and always visible only to Administrators - in the event that any content posted or any action taken by you is contrary to the conditions contained in this Registration Agreement. Your IP address may be provided to your ISP in the event that your ISP is obligated to collect it as part of a formal investigation into a potential criminal activity.

Each time you visit SLCAL.ca and log in, the software powering this website places a ‘cookie’ - a temporary text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password) – in your web browser’s cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information from or to your computer.
